What exactly are the commission rates?

While our base commission rate is $4.90 per round turn (all inclusive: that is all you will pay), commission rates are a factor of volume. And while our commissions are very competitive, our service is not compromised. Frequent traders, CTA's, money managers and institutions can expect to pay lower commissions based on volume. If I cannot place an order online because I am not next to a computer and I call my broker, will I get charged more in commission?

Definitely not!

What happens if the Internet goes down while I am trading?

You will have two options: (1) You can contact your broker at Cannon. (2) We will provide a back-up 800 number for you to call the trading desk.

What if I am not comfortable placing my first few trades online?

A personal broker will assist you on the phone while you place your first few trades, to make sure you understand the system.

How do I know if my order was transmitted to the floor?

Every system provided by e-mini.com gives a confirmation number once your order has been approved.

How long does it take to get a fill?

Confirmations on electronic contracts (T-bonds, mini S&P, mini Nasdaq, etc.) are INSTANT. (About 2 seconds.) Fills on other contracts such as grains, meats and currencies are very fast.

Do I get updates regarding my account during the day so I can tell if I am long or short?

Yes. Every system has an account manger that will update your account status. Please feel free to contact your personal broker at e-mini.com to resolve any problems.

Do you offer real time quotes and charts?

Yes. We offer several different quoting systems that will meet each individuals needs.

How can I find what the current margins are?

You will find current margins posted on the trading platform, or you will be able to find them on our web site.

How long does it take to open an online account?

You can open an account in less than 24 hours. Contact a broker before establishing an account for additional information.

How do I open an account?

Contact an online account specialist who will help you review the different platforms and services. We are certain that we can assist you in matching your trading needs with the best service available. At that time we will instruct you on how to download the account forms, login to your software, fund your account and trade.

How do I fund my account?

Bank wire, personal check or cashiers check. (Depends on account size.)

Can I transfer my existing account?

YES. Transferring an account is very easy and usually takes a few business days. Fill out an account transfer form and we will take care of the rest.

What if I don't want to trade online and need a broker to help me?
